Patients can perform hemodialysis safely at home through Remote Monitoring and Warning System of the CMUH “Smart dialysis App”. It collects and further analyze received vital signs and machine data, to generate alerts that are customized to each individual patient. The alert of each critical value and dialysis conditions will be sent to nephrologists and caregivers simultaneously. Home-hemodialysis Remote Monitoring and Warning System has already been tested successfully for more than 10,000 times at CMUH. Hemodialysis at home may save patients 90 days a year in commuting between hospital and home.

Monitoring Mechanism

Our institute has strict data flow control (such as ISO 27701 privacy information management, ISO 29100 and 29191 de-identification system, research ethics committee IRB mechanism), and has obtained training data set development system. We continuously optimize the model or expand its functions based on usage and user feedback. We also hold regular meetings every year to discuss and track project progress to facilitate project advancement.
